Boarding procedure

Passengers must arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Each passenger is allowed to carry one piece of luggage up to 10 kg on board at no additional cost. The boarding pass must be presented and scanned before boarding.

PRM Declaration Conditions

Passengers with reduced mobility must inform the company staff prior to departure.
They are requested to arrive at least 45 minutes before the scheduled departure time to facilitate boarding and any necessary assistance. If the passenger is unable to follow safety instructions or ensure their own evacuation from the vessel, they must be accompanied by a safety assistant for the crossing.

Conditions for animals on board

Live animals allowed
The transport of live animals is permitted, provided that current regulations are respected.

Appropriate cage required
Animals must be transported in a cage suitable for their size and build.

Restricted areas
It is strictly prohibited to leave the cage inside an embarked vehicle, as vehicles are not monitored and access to them is not allowed during the crossing.

For the comfort of all passengers, animals are not allowed in enclosed areas of the vessel (indoors).

Owner’s responsibility
The animal remains under the supervision and responsibility of its owner, who is liable for any damage or disturbance caused by the animal.

Exception for guide dogs
Guide dogs for blind or visually impaired passengers are allowed in all public areas of the vessel when accompanying their owner.

Anti-plastic policy and environmental commitments

Reduction of single-use plastics:
The vessel prioritizes the use of cardboard cups and cutlery for drinks and meals served on board, as part of its efforts to reduce plastic waste.

Digital ticketing: Passenger tickets are now available in digital format, reducing paper usage and contributing to environmental protection.

Grey and green bins are available to passengers to facilitate waste sorting.

Vaeara’i supports the Association Oceania, which works to protect whales and dolphins in Polynesian waters, and collaborates with it on awareness and marine conservation initiatives.

Group Travel Conditions

Advance booking required: All group travel must be booked in advance to guarantee availability on board.

Preferential rates: Special rates may apply for groups, depending on the number of passengers and the period.

Seat allocation:Seats may be reserved in advance under specific conditions (e.g., passengers with reduced mobility).
